Customer Service at Rod's Western?
I am wondering what the customer service experience with this company is? So far mine has been really negative. They have tons of competition so I'm not sure if I will do business with them again.
I ordered two items, one was a wooden horse bench and the other a set of curtain holders (I'm feathering my nest, leave me alone). Apparently the holders were back-ordered.
No one communicated this process to me. The bench arrived, it is from "Big Sky Carvers" so you assume oh made in Big Sky country and I assumed that the 30$ mark up over the other cheaper benches reflected the fact that it was quality and American made. WRONG! MADE IN CHINA!!!!!
I received a snarky e-mail regarding my order when I asked, and no one would respond as to whether or not I would be charged shipping on the backordered item in additon to the ridiculous amount I was charged on the made in China crap.
well you are definately not alone in this. I used to order from Rod's quite a lot then when i too startedhaving problems with backorders and ppor customer service I quit buying from them. I ran across a problem very similar to your bench one with that company. I ordered an Americana type decorations for my western themed living room... waited 2 weeks , no order... 2 more weeks still no sign of it, when it FINALLY came after a 7.5 week wait it was broken and MADE IN CHINA I was liek WTF it's american themed and mad ein China.... and it's broken. I tried to return it and they gave me all kinds of problems and tried to make me pay shipping to send it back and then pay shipping again for a new one AND they could not guarentee or rush me a new one within a certain amount of time. I finally just told them credit my credit card and I'd pay shipping to have the POS junk hauled back tot hem and I would NEVER buy anythign else from them..... still haven't bought anythign after that mess!
