Breeze caresses your face
like the gentle touch of baby's fingers
Jasmine scented clouds whisk by
as sun tries to linger, a defiant child;
splashing lavender and orange hues
across a navy blue sky

Breathe in the gently cooling air
Reward for a long, warm day endured
Sip on nature's perfect brew
Reveling in quiet moment at days end.

Finding time alone, rare; welcomed
Hear the symphony the birds are playing
Red-winged black bird trills at the flute
as Cardinal sharply plays the piccolo
Robin laughs out the trumpet as
Canadian Geese honk the baritone
not wanting to be left out. {should this line be left off?}

Savor the child at play
Drinking in all she offers
