Do you think they should stop the all you can eat buffets?
With Americans Getting so large ,what do you think of getting rid of the all you can eat buffets,and why do people blame Chefs for that ?when all you can eat restaurants only use warm and serve foods
Personally, I think getting rid of all the all-you-can-eat buffets is definately not the answer. Not everyone who enjoys the venue is is plagued with weight issues. To me it would seem like a very, minimal at best, bandaid solution. We have to try to understand the "why" behind obesity and do something to help those at risk of becoming obese as well as those who are presently so......but I don't think the answer just lies in shutting down the all-you-can-eat buffets. For that matter then, we should shut down all the fast food restaurants in general and only allow salad bars and health food stores to remain oepn......but that sounds a little severe, don't you think?
We are undoubtably living in a world of instant gratificatification, ranging anywhere from video games to drugs to sex and yes food. It seems that the people constantly require more and more to feel "happy" only to find out that more and more is harder and harder to get and we end up in a catch 22, chasing this more and more but never seeming to be happy enough.
I think we all have to take a step back and look at ourselves, our unique situations, and our world and find out how we can truly benefit our bodies and benefit the world in the mean time. Maybe taking time to smell the roses will open our eyes enough to start feeling truly happy about who we are and who we can be and ultimately contribute to our own lives and the world in a much more productive manner.
