I'm grilling some new york strip steaks on the BBQ. What temperature should they read...?
...with a meat thermometer for medium well?
About how long will they take to cook on the grill? They're about 2 inches thick and 1 lb. each. Any good recipes?

140 for rare 160 for medium. Remember that the heat will build a bit after inserting the thermometer and the meat will continue to cook a bit. Let the meat rest under cover of foil for about 15 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute
