Can I ferment my Kombucha on the radiator?
This is my first time brewing kombucha. I was wondering if I could place a towel underneath the glass jar and set it on my radiator to ferment. I am not sure how hot the radiator gets, it's always cool enough to keep my hand on it, but it does feel quite warm (about medium heat on a heating pad??). Has anybody ever tried this? Good or bad?

No, don't do that or you will kill the mushroom. The tea has to ferment at room temperature covered with cheesecloth. When you ferment your next batch, make sure you very carefully clean the surface of what you set your jar on and of course the jar. Also, never let the mushroom touch anything metal, so take rings and bracelets off when preparing your tea. When you make your next batches you will need the mushroom and some of the tea to use as a starter so remember not to drink it all. I felt wonderful when I was drinking kombucha tea.
