School teachers are generally getting a job by sending resume and having interview with principal.
What kind of questions does she/he generally ask?
especially for art teacher..
Can anyone who's currently teacher at public school tell about your experience about interview?

I will appreciate it.
(I personally like to teach more at magnet high school than at elementary school)_
General teaching questions that are always asked:
1. Tell us about yourself.
2. Describe your classroom managment philosophy.
3. Why do you want to teach at this, particular school.
4. Describe your weaknesses. Describe your strengths.
5. What is your philosophy of education?
6. What extra-curricular programs are you willing to participate in?
7. What are some ways you communicate with parents?
Questions that are art-specific you might want to prepare for:
1. How can you tie your art activities into the classroom curriculums? (aka work with other teachers)
2. Describe some of the art projects your students have loved.
3. Show us pictures of your work as an artist.
4. How can you make the most of a small budget for art supplies?
5. Desribe some ways you present and display student work throughout the school and throughout the community.
6. Why do you think art is an important part of a child's education?
7. Art teachers have a unique set of classroom management challenges because you see so many kids for such a short time-- what would you do when a kid is off-task, unmotivated, or not participating in a leson?
8. Art is an elective, which means you'll have to promote student interest in your courses. How will you do this?
